Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 22, 2026
1. Introduction
SOLO ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website trysolo.dev and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up via GitHub OAuth, we receive your GitHub username, email address, avatar URL, and GitHub user ID. We store this to identify your account and link it to your repositories.
Repository & Code Data
When you install the SOLO GitHub App, we receive webhook events (issues, pull requests, pushes) for repositories you authorize. Our AI agent may read file contents from your repository to generate fixes. We do not store your source code permanently — it is processed in-memory during agent runs and discarded.
Feedback Data
Feedback submitted through the SOLO widget (text, screenshots, metadata such as browser info and page URL) is stored in our database and associated with your project.
Usage & Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and PostHog to collect anonymized usage data including page views, feature usage, and performance metrics. No personally identifiable information is shared with these providers beyond what is standard (IP address, user agent).
Integration Tokens
When you connect third-party services (Gmail, Slack, Discord, Linear, Sentry, etc.), we store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens encrypted at rest. These tokens are used solely to perform actions you authorize.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the SOLO platform
- To process feedback and generate automated pull requests via our AI agent
- To send release notes and notifications through connected integrations
- To manage your subscription and billing through Polar.sh
- To communicate important updates about the service
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication
- Vercel — application hosting and analytics
- Google Gemini — AI processing for code analysis (code snippets are sent for analysis and not retained by Google beyond processing)
- Polar.sh — subscription billing and payment processing
- PostHog — product analytics
- Third-party integrations you explicitly connect (e.g., Slack, Discord, Gmail)
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Feedback data is retained until you delete it or close your account. Source code accessed by the AI agent is processed in real-time and not stored permanently. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive tokens, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
- Export your feedback data
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies from Vercel and PostHog may be used for product improvement. No advertising cookies are used.
9. Children's Privacy
SOLO is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
